Any high school senior or currently enrolled college student who demonstrates strong academic standing and community involvement may apply. Applicants must plan to attend or currently attend an accredited institution.
Only one application is allowed per student per year. However, if you qualify, you may reapply in future years up to the program’s renewal limits.

Scholarship funds are designated for educational purposes only and are sent directly to your school’s student accounts office. They may be used toward tuition, fees, books, room and board, and other education-related expenses listed in your Cost of Attendance.
No. Students are not permitted to receive scholarship funds directly. If your school issues a refund of those funds to you, it must be returned to the PBC Scholarship Fund immediately to avoid loss of current or future eligibility.
You must complete all required sections of the application and submit:
Official transcripts or diplomas
Letters of recommendation
A 250-word original essay
Any other supporting documents listed in the application
All materials must be submitted by the established deadline.
Yes — if indicated in your award letter. Scholarships may be renewed up to:
2 years for Associate’s programs
4 years for Bachelor’s programs
3 years for most graduate programs
(4 years for Medicine and Pharmacy)
Renewal eligibility ends upon graduation or after the maximum number of years, whichever comes first. Renewal requires submission of a form and academic transcript each spring.
If you withdraw, you must notify the PBC Scholarship Panel in writing immediately. Any unused funds must be returned. If you are placed on academic probation or lose financial aid eligibility, your scholarship may be reduced or revoked at the panel’s discretion.
Yes. You are required to notify the Scholarship Panel if there are any changes to your:
Permanent address
School attendance
Financial aid status
Failure to report changes may result in the loss of your scholarship.
