Scholarship Prayer Breakfast

Five years ago, Providence Baptist Church decided to organize this Scholarship Benefit to support our graduating high school seniors, as well as our current college students. We wanted to recognize the students who have not only maintained good academic standings, but who are also involved in community service. Because our students have overcome many personal challenges while trying to further their education, we feel this benefit is needed to recognize their efforts and accomplishments. We all know that, “…. with God, all things are possible”- Matthew 19:26b. The Providence Baptist Church is of the mindset that it not only takes a village to raise a child, but it also takes a village to support a child throughout their academic endeavors. We are dedicated to encouraging, motivating, and uplifting our youth so that they believe their academic & career goals are truly achievable. Recently, due to the tremendous support of the community we have been able to extend the scholarship to youth outside of Providence.

To the families, friends and sponsors. We thank you for your, gifts, love and support of our scholars. On behalf of Providence Baptist Church of Akron, Ohio we encourage you to continue to pray for and gird up these scholars as they face new challenges and
obstacles in this ever-changing world.
